Alexander Johnson and Alexandria Forshay met, unaware of the life they would share, at a senior assisted living facility where they both worked as Certified Nursing Assistants. Alexander and Alexandria were drawn to one another by their compassion and kindness toward the seniors. Amid the laughter and challenges of their work, they often playfully teased each other about their shared names.
While their names may be the same, their identities are rooted in Jesus Christ. Building their relationship on a strong foundation, they matured together through Bible reading and prayer, and they supported one another in their spiritual journeys. Their lives flourished further through their involvement with Antioch Bible Baptist Church, where they engaged in community fellowship with other young believers.
A pivotal moment in their relationship came during a mission trip to Bogotá, Colombia, where they served and shared the Gospel. This experience deepened their bond and reinforced their commitment to a life of service and faith. With every shared laugh, heartfelt conversation, and moment of service, Alexander and Alexandria forged an unbreakable connection, dedicated to honoring and glorifying God.
As they embark on this journey of marriage, they aspire to reflect Jesus Christ and exemplify the marriage covenant, modeled on Christ's faithful love for the Church.
Jesus answered, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate."
Matthew 19:4-6
